People like engaging content.

And one of the best ways to engage people on LinkedIn has got to be LinkedIn polls.

Not only do they offer variety to the content that you are producing, but they are also a great way to get people involved.

But coming up with ideas for a poll follows the same process as ideas for any other type of content.

It takes time, and it can become taxing especially if you have limited resources.

So, that’s why we built a prompt.

In today’s guide, we’ll share with you the BAMF ChatGPT prompt for LinkedIn polls that you can deploy in just one minute.

Well, for one, they’re fun.

But beyond that, there are a lot of reasons why LinkedIn polls have gained so much traction.

People like a quick way to voice out their opinions …and figure out if other people are in the same boat. In a way, it provides validation and allows them to be part of something larger. This property of forms is why it’s so popular.

That coupled with the fact that the UX of polls is so easy to interact with makes it such a powerful tool in getting people to click.

Furthermore, polls are a great way to gather information about a certain topic without expending professional resources.

If you want to find out the “pulse”, you could easily launch a quick poll, at the same time, people who are viewing your poll are also encouraged to participate so that they, too, can find out what people are thinking.

Lastly, we like polls because they can drive shareable content. They are effortless for people to interact with and as a result drive more engagement.

ChatGPT Prompt for LinkedIn Polls

We wanted our ChatGPT prompt for LinkedIn polls to be deployable in a minute.

Ambitious? Yes. Doable? Absolutely.

For us to be able to do that, you just need to provide it with some context about you and your audience, and what subject matter you want to focus on.

And that’s about it.

Here’s the prompt in its rawest form.

I am a *what do you do for a living* with an audience of description of your audience*, I want to create a LinkedIn poll that I can use as part of my content plan.

The topic of the polls should be centered around *what is the general subject matter of your post*

The tone should be engaging, thought-provoking, and a little fun. *feel free to change the adjectives describing the tone*.

Provide me with *number* different polls with questions, responses, and a caption for the post along with hashtags.

Make the questions short and thought-provoking. Give me a mix of poll questions with 2, 3, and 4 responses. For the caption, keep it to *choose the number of words* words.

As usual, we always start with a lot of context, such as what you do for a living and who your audience is. This allows ChatGPT to align with your general subject-matter. We then provide it with the broad instruction which is to create a LinkedIn poll.

Next, you want to provide the subject of the poll. The more specific it is, the better. However, this prompt can work with more general topics.

We then follow up with the tone of the poll, you can keep the first two adjectives: “engaging” and “thought-provoking” as this keeps your polls lively, or you can change everything out – the choice is yours.

Next, you want to ask it to provide you with at least 5 different polls so you have a few to choose from. At the same time, we asked it to generate the caption and responses.

We included details on how the questions should be structured and how many responses to include since LinkedIn’s max number of responses is 4 this gives us variety.

Finally, we set the number of words for the caption. Keep it to between 100 to 250 words so that it’s not too text-heavy.

And that’s about it, you can now tweak this prompt to help you produce polls in less than a minute.

The Output

To check out our output we filled out the template with some generic lines that we often use to test out our new prompts. And the results were pretty wild.

Here’s the exact prompt that we used.

I am a LinkedIn marketer with an audience of startup founders, I want to create a LinkedIn poll that I can use as part of my content plan.

The topic of the polls should be centered around why hybrid work setups are here to stay.

The tone should be engaging, thought-provoking, and a little fun.

Provide me with 5 different polls with questions, responses, and a caption for the post along with hashtags.

Make the questions short and thought-provoking. Give me a mix of poll questions with 2, 3, and 4 responses. For the caption, keep it to 100 words.

As you can see, the output is pretty solid, it can generate a number of polls that you can choose to add variety to your content calendar,

Takeaways

We love LinkedIn polls because of how engaging they are for your audience and how much engagement they can drive for your brand.

However, you still need to make sure that your poll still follows the overall theme of your content. You can’t just make a poll about anything – this allows your poll to stay relevant to your audience and ensures that it has participants.

As with all of the prompts that we produce, we firmly advise you to make sure that you check out your output and tweak it to give it that human touch.

So use this prompt wisely and expand on the variety of your LinkedIn content.
